Liability for content

As services agent, we are responsible for our own content on this website according to German law, § 7 Abs.1 TMG. According to §§ 8 through 10 TMG, we are, however, not responsible to observe or check transmitted or stored third party information for a potential break of law. The liability for deletion or blocking of certain information according to general law remains unaffected. Effective liability, however, starts no sooner than the moment we come to realise a certain break of law. As soon as that is the case, we will delete the related information immediately.

Additionally, to the fullest extent permitted at law, neither J.S. Research KG nor any of its affiliates, directors, employees or other representatives will be liable for damages resulting from or connected with the use of this website or the content provided on this site. This includes (without limitation) compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties.

Liability for links

Our services include links to external information of third parties, the content of which we do not have any influence on. Hence, we cannot take any liability for this content. For the content of websites linked by us, the liability remains with the owner of the related site. The linked information, however, has been checked for a potential break of law at the moment of the implementation of the link. At that moment, no such break of law was discerned. Yet, a permanent content control of linked information without any specific evidence of a break of law is not feasible nor reasonable. In case of realising any break of law related to the links implemented on our website, we will delete these links immediately.

Property- and copyrights

The content created by us are subject to German copyright protection. Copying, editing, publication and every other form of usage outside of copyright laws necessitates our written consent. Downloads as well as copies of this website are not permitted for commercial, but private use only.

The copyrights related to content that has not been created by us are observed; particularly, the copyrights related to content created by others is marked appropriately. In case, however, you may realise a violation of copyrights all the same, we ask for immediate notification, on which we will act and delete the related content as quickly as possible.

Privacy policy & data protection

We protect your privacy and data. Anyway, we collect very little information about the users of our digital offer. Where we do so, it is completely anonymised and for statistical purposes only; your identity is never compromised. In particular, we never and nowhere collect data for advertising purposes or even to sell it on to third parties. And finally, all data collected when browsing our digital offer is stored for a maximum of up to three years after which it is deleted automatically.

For the purposes stated above, we use cookies to analyse the usage of our digital offer on a purely abstract, generalised level such as country of origin, clicks on download buttons and other items, entry and exit sites etc. The cookies used in this context are solely so called first party cookies, i.e. issued, collected and stored by us only, and to remain within our company only. Most of these are session cookies which are deleted from your system once you leave our website. A very few are permanent ones stored on your system, such as the cookie notification on entering our digital offer itself, for example, or so-called “breadcrumbs” to indentify you as a regular visitor while keeping your identy anonymous; however, those can be deleted manually in any browser settings by yourself anytime you wish to do so.

In this context, we specifically do not employ Google Analytics, but the GDPR-conform slimstat analytics. The “slimstat analytics”-cookie expires after 1 month; the storage of these cookies operates according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Where our digital offer inevitably is embedded in the world wide web, for example when you access our website via google or another search engine, it might be that third party cookies are stored on your system to tell the search engine from where and when you have accessed our website. However, we have no access to or control over these cookies.

When contacting us, we obviously log your name and contact information you share with us so as to be able to get back to you. However, this data, too is deleted automatically if upon making contact with us you do not wish to buy or register for any of our products and/or to become a client of ours. Client data, additionally, is never stored in the cloud but on physical memory drives only.

However, we must point out that the transmission of data via the internet is always prone to data integrity vulnerabilities. It is thus impossible to completely protect your data during transmission from access by others. We cannot assume any liability for damages arising as a result of such security breaches.

Finally, let us make this very clear again: We do not use any advertising cookies. Your data will never be used for commercial purposes but, in the most generalised form possible, only to help us enhance your experience of our website. No personally identifiable information is collected on this site. If at any point of time in the future we opt to change this policy, we will notify you right at the point of entry to our website and other digital offerings.
